Welcome to Members Own Pages
You can only see this because you are signed into the site as MSAC member.
This area of the site has been set up to allow you to create your own page that can be viewed by anyone. If you want to put up some pictures for your aunt in Australia to see, fine. If you want to create your own diving web pages, also fine. The pages you create here can be seen by anyone visiting the msac site and not just members so be aware.
When the general public clicks on the member’s pages link on the main MSAC site they will see a list of members pages. So if you want to create your own web page about any subject here is a place to do it.
Creating a page is simple and does not need you to be a web wizard or to understand html or aspx but first a couple of rules.
· DO NOT publish anything offensive, potentially libellous or pornographic or anything that could get the club into trouble in any way.
· Try to ensure that you have the right to publish any pictures that you use in your pages.
The pages here use a basic rich text editor so you could make your page in word or other word processor and paste it in except that pictures need to be handled manually. It is ok to create a page to test as it can easily be deleted.
If you are OK with web editing click here to go to the advanced page instructions.
Create your own basic page now. Here is how.
There are 2 steps
- First you create the page and give it a name. I suggest that you use your own name to start but the name could be anything.
- Next you edit the text on the page and save it. That is all there is to it. If you want pictures on your page it is a little more complicated but still easy. Use the link at the bottom to go to advance instructions and uploading pictures.
OK, start by clicking the “create new page” link on the left side of this screen and you will see this page.
Type in a name and click create.
Your page will be created as a blank page and a rich text editor box will appear for you to type. Type in some simple text and click save.

Note that you can copy text from a word processor and paste here if you wish.
After you have saved the page it is available for viewing – simple as that. Click here to see sample1
A link to your page will automatically be added to the members pages list. After this sample page was created, here is what the members page screen looked like when the public browse there.

If you are still logged in, you will also see these instructions below the list. The general public or you if you are not signed in will just see the list of public pages.
If a user clicks on the link, they will be shown your page.

You can go back and change the page at any time or delete the page completely.
To change the page, click on the page in the list to navigate to it and then just click on "edit content" at the top right of your page. At this point the rich text editor will be shown and you can edit your page and save it again.
To delete your page move the mouse to your page's name in the list at the top of this page and a thin blue box will appear around it. Then move your mouse to the right, click on the small triangle and select delete. Be careful not to delete other members pages.
The icons at the top of the editor can be used to paste, copy and cut text, insert tables and pictures along with links to other pages. Microsoft provide help on these edit button icons here and the format and other icons here
